Mardy Fish Withdraws from Memphis
Former top ten player Mardy Fish has withdrawn today from the 2013 US National Indoor Championships due to ongoing health problems. The American announced in November 2012 that he would miss the start of the 2013 season and the Australian Open but looked to be back soon after. Unfortunately these health issues will keep the Mardy from making his 12th appearance in Memphis. Fish’s best results in Memphis came in 2009 when he captured the doubles title with partner Mark Knowles and in singles he has reached the semifinals twice. Mardy is currently the 3rd highest ranked American behind John Isner and Sam Querrey who are both scheduled to play Memphis.
Fish has not played since pulling out of the US Open in September.
