4 Women Earn Spots Into Main Draw

The Racquet Club of Memphis saw the final day of the women's qualifying on Sunday. Four competitors earned their entry into the main draw of the Cellular South Cup.

Heading the list of players who made the main draw is former Cellular South Cup champion Sofia Arvidsson. The Swede, who won the title here in 2006 and has been ranked as high as No.29 in the world, comes in at No.105 and is trying to regain that form. She beat Angela Haynes in the final round of qualifying.

Joining Arvidsson in the main draw are two young Americans, California native Alexa Glatch and Madison Brengle from Delaware. Glatch is making her third appearance in Memphis and this is her second time making the main draw. This will be Brengle's first time in Memphis for the Cellular South Cup. On Sunday, Glatch beat Yulia Fedossova while Brengle beat Krista Hardebeck.

Rounding out the field will be Canadian Valerie Tetreault. Making the trip to Memphis for the first time, Tetreault beat countrywoman Rebecca Marino on Sunday.

There are plenty of tickets still available so come on out and watch these players as they join Maria Sharapova and Melanie Oudin in the main draw.
