Hi everyone! I'm an intermediate tennis player looking to upgrade my racquet. I play a mix of baseline and net games, so I need something that offers a good balance of control, power, and spin. I've heard about the Babolat Pure Drive and Wilson Blade 98, but I'm curious if there are other options that might suit my style better. Additionally, how important is string tension when selecting a racquet? I'm aiming for a mid-range budget. Any recommendations or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for your help!

When choosing a racquet as an intermediate player, consider the following options that have received positive feedback:

  1. Babolat Pure Drive: Known for its power and spin, making it a popular choice among intermediate players.
  2. Wilson Blade 98: Offers excellent control and feel, ideal for players who like to play at the net and from the baseline.
  3. Babolat Pure Strike: Provides a good mix of power and control, suitable for aggressive players.
  4. Yonex VCore 98: Great for spin and maneuverability, especially for those who hit with topspin.

Regarding string tension, it significantly affects your racquet's performance. Lower tension can provide more power and comfort, while higher tension offers better control. Experimenting with different tensions can help you find the right balance for your game
